Biographical Sketch

Andy Cunningham, Jr. is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. He received a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Ceramics and a Bachelor of Fine Art Degree in Sculpture and Art Education from Georgia State University. He has exhibited at galleries and museums throughout the southeast and has won awards in juried and invitational exhibitions throughout the country.

He is a teacher at Woodward Academy where he has taught since 1984. In addition to teaching at Woodward Academy, Andy is Chairman of the Governor's Honors Program of Georgia Visual Arts Department hosted by Valdosta State University. He also taught as an adjunct instructor in the Ceramics Department at Georgia State University.

His work is part of numerous corporate and private collections throughout the United States. Selected publications include The Atlanta Journal/Atlanta Constitution, Southern Homes, Guide to Georgia and Art Papers. He lives, teaches and sculpts in College Park, GA.
